Job summary

Osceola County is seeking a Maintenance/Facilities Assistant to provide service to the public and maintain equipment at the Austin Tindall Sports Complex and Osceola County Parks and Public Lands. You will greet guests, process sales, enforce safety rules, and assist with field and grounds preparation.

Requires a High School Diploma or GED and a valid Florida driver's license. Must be available for nights, weekends and holidays, and capable of using basic hand tools and cash registers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License.
• Willing to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to use basic hand tools.
• Knowledge of cash register operations for money handling and transactions.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Greets guests across the complex.
• Handles monies received and equipment issued.
• Assists with batting cages reservations and opening/closing for public use.
• Enforces rules to keep guests safe.
• Processes event ticket sales for entry to the complex.
• Performs janitorial tasks: cleaning, sanitizing, upkeep of grounds and facilities.
• Empties and relines trash containers; disposes of waste properly.
• Cleans and maintains restrooms (toilets, sinks, mirrors, dispensers, floors).
• Assists maintenance with lawn care and landscaping tasks.
