Job summary

Texas A&M AgriLife Research in Dallas seeks a Facilities Coordinator I to assist with routine and preventive maintenance across laboratories, greenhouses, and campus buildings. The role covers electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and equipment tasks while supporting landscaping and safety initiatives.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain a pesticide applicator license within six months.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Two years of experience in horticulture, controlled environment agriculture, or facilities maintenance preferred.
• Ability to obtain Texas pesticide license within 6 months of hire; license Category 3B required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative and reactive maintenance on facilities, greenhouses, labs, and equipment.
• Assist with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general maintenance tasks.
• Help with safe operation of vehicles, tractors, and farm machinery.
• Maintain documentation, safety records, and chemical inventories.
• Respond to after-hours facility emergencies as assigned.
