Job summary

Skyline Nursing Center is seeking a detail-oriented housekeeping/maintenance aide to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment. Responsibilities include floor care, light maintenance, and coordination with nursing and other staff on environmental services and infection prevention.

Position requires routine cleaning duties across multiple areas, preparation of rooms for admissions and discharges, and the ability to follow schedules and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• One year's work experience in a commercial establishment with knowledge of laundry/housekeeping procedures.
• Highschool diploma or equivalency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Wash, seal, wax and buff floors according to supervisor schedule.
• Perform maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs and cleaning vents and registers.
• Carry out general housekeeping to maintain a sanitary, safe environment.
• Clean and disinfect fixtures, floors, walls, doors and ceilings; polish surfaces.
• Collaborate with residents, nurses and staff on environmental services requirements and infection prevention.
• Prepare rooms for admissions/discharges and maintain room readiness.
• Clean carpets and tile floors; follow stripping and waxing procedures.
• Replenish supplies and keep equipment and storage areas organized.
