Job summary

Saint John’s Program for Real Change in Sacramento, CA is hiring a Facilities Maintenance Technician to oversee day-to-day operations of all Jackson property facilities, including repairs, maintenance, and subcontractor management. The role also manages our transportation/fleet vehicles and coordinates with the COO on fleet insurance and registration.

The position requires English fluency, a CA driver’s license (Class B), and the ability to multitask with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English language (spoken and written).
• An incredible passion for our mission.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
• A current CA driver’s license, Class B license holder and proof of auto insurance are required.
• TB Clearance and fingerprinting required as well.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct all repair and installation activities for multiple commercial and residential buildings, including a commercial kitchen, two campus residences, and a children’s program, etc.
• Ensure buildings and facilities are fit for purpose and provide proactive support when required.
• Monitor electrical and hydraulic systems to ensure functionality.
• Oversee, maintain, and inspect all buildings on property.
• Coordinate ongoing maintenance and inspections to comply with laws, codes, and policies.
• Supervise upkeep staff, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Monitor equipment inventory and place orders as needed.
• Ensure health and safety policies are complied with.
