Job summary

Prisma Health - Hillcrest Hospital in Simpsonville, SC is seeking a skilled Facilities Finisher to coordinate finishing tasks, painting, staining, flooring, and wall coverings. You will work independently under the Plant Operations team to support major renovations and ongoing maintenance.

The role requires at least two years experience with interior finishing materials and a high school diploma or equivalent. You will inspect contractors, order materials, and help restore furniture as needed.

Qualifications

• Education - High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred
• Experience - Two (2) years minimum experience with interior and wall finishing materials. Hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates finishing including painting, staining, sheetrock, plaster, and metal work
• Installs/repairs flooring/wall coverings
• Inspects work of outside contractors for quality of work, ongoing and completed
• Attends construction meetings on major jobs or renovations as needed
• Inspects on-going construction/renovations reports findings to Facilities/Planning and supervisor
• Orders material for finishing and cabinetry
• Restores furniture and fabricates with glass and plastic
• Schedules and assigns work to be done in conjunction with assigned supervisor
• Estimates and orders all materials needed to complete jobs
• May perform stencil work and paint lettering or decorations
• Performs other duties as assigned
