Florence Unified School District No. 1 is seeking a maintenance technician to perform varied tasks in maintaining facilities, equipment, and utilities.
The role involves limited supervision and coordination by the Support Services Supervisor, with a focus on preventive maintenance and safety compliance. Responsibilities include inspections, equipment operation, and the interpretation of blueprints and codes.
Performs varied tasks that require the application of skilled abilities to maintain and repair facilities, equipment, and related utilities services. On-job supervision is minimal and functional in nature when assigned by the Support Services Supervisor.

Specialized tools, equipment, and materials related to the work being performed may involve plumbing, electrical, masonry, painting.
Follows all applicable safety rules, procedures and regulations governing the proper use of tools and power equipment used in the performance of duties. Wear appropriate safety gear, including masks. Must comply with the school district's chemical hygiene program and follow MSDS sheets.
Travel to and from district sites as needed.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. The employee may be required to travel. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Hourly rate based on column D of the approved Classified Salary schedule as established by the Governing Board.
12 months, 8 hours per day

Performance of this position will be evaluated annually by the Support Services Supervisor and/or the Director of Support Services, in accordance with Governing Board Policy.
