Dysart Unified School District in Surprise, AZ seeks a Maintenance Technician to keep classrooms, hallways and outdoor spaces safe and functional. This full-time role performs repairs, installs equipment, and supports building operations in a dynamic school environment.
The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and at least one year in maintenance, with the ability to read manuals, communicate clearly, and handle basic tools.

To provide students with a safe, attractive and efficient place in which to learn, play and develop.
Positions in this class typically require: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
Heavy Work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Work is performed in both the field and in an indoor office environment with moderate exposure to hazardous physical conditions (such as mechanical parts, electrical currents, vibration, etc.); moderate exposure to atmospheric conditions (such as fumes, odors, dusts, gases, poor ventilation, etc.); moderate exposure to hazardous materials (such as chemicals, blood and other body fluids); and moderate exposure to extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, movement restrictions and intense noise.
