Job summary

Harvard Medical School is seeking an Executive Director of Facilities and Campus Operations to provide strategic and operational leadership for 2.1 million sq ft across HMS and 110K sq ft at HSDM.

The role reports to the CCPFO and directs a large team, vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure safe, reliable, and sustainable facilities that support teaching, research, clinical and community missions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in facilities management, engineering, business administration, operations management, or related field.
• Ten+ years of progressively responsible experience in facilities management, campus or building operations, facilities engineering, or related field.
• At least five years of experience in a supervisory or management capacity.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation, maintenance, repair, and stewardship of buildings, utilities, grounds, custodial and housekeeping services, landscaping, snow removal, engineering systems, and infrastructure.
• Establish operational priorities, service standards, procedures, and performance expectations promoting safe, reliable, and efficient services.
• Monitor building, infrastructure, and system condition and performance; identify and prioritize operational, maintenance, renewal, and urgent infrastructure needs.
