Job summary

The Jewish Community Center of San Francisco is seeking a Program Support / Housekeeping Staff member to keep the center and offsite preschool environments clean, safe, and ready for daily programs and special events. You will contribute to Kanbar Hall seating operations, setup, and breakdown, ensuring spaces are orderly and welcoming for children, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping or facility support services.
• Experience in school, preschool or community center preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning practices, custodial equipment and safety protocols; OSHA certification preferred.
• Willingness to work overtime, nights, weekends or outdoors as needed.
• Ability to perform physically active work safely, including lifting, bending, standing and moving furniture.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all spaces.
• Perform routine housekeeping tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming and restroom maintenance.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of events and seating operations for venues like Kanbar Hall.
• Monitor facility areas and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Follow safety procedures and use cleaning materials and equipment safely.
• Provide cross-departmental support as operational needs arise.
