Bell Textron Inc. in Grand Prairie, Texas is seeking a Facilities Equipment & Maintenance Front Line Leader for the 1st shift to oversee a union-backed maintenance team and ensure reliable operation of industrial equipment.
You will collaborate with planners, schedulers, and cross-functional teams to maintain schedule adherence, safety, and cost efficiency while mentoring technicians and driving continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance.
- Proven experience as a maintenance supervisor or front-line leader in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and execute all maintenance activities with the Planner and Scheduler.
- Coordinate with production, quality, equipment, process, and industrial engineering to avoid schedule conflicts.
- Monitor and track work orders, parts orders, and equipment performance data.
- Identify maintenance needs and help develop and implement a budget for maintenance activities.
- Lead and mentor a team of maintenance technicians and ensure safety and quality.

We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Army’s Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation stop-fold aircraft.
This position is onsite at Bell's Drive Systems Center in Grand Prairie, Texas.
Responsible for leading a team of union covered maintenance technicians in the day-to-day operations of an industrial maintenance department.
This includes working closely with a Maintenance Planner and Scheduler to ensure that all maintenance activities, including preventative and predictive maintenance, are executed efficiently.
Work closely with the Maintenance Planner and Scheduler to supervise and execute all maintenance activities, ensuring that all equipment is in good working order and that scheduled maintenance is completed on time.
Coordinate with other departments, including production, quality, equipment, process, and industrial engineering, to ensure that maintenance activities do not interfere with production schedules.
Monitor and track maintenance activities, including work orders, parts orders, and equipment performance data, to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Identify and prioritize maintenance needs, and work with management to develop and implement a budget for maintenance activities.
Lead and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, providing training and support as needed to ensure that all team members are performing their duties effectively and efficiently.
Develop and maintain a safe working environment by ensuring that all maintenance activities comply with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
Inspect/audit work in progress and upon completion, focusing on safety and quality of work.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability, reduce maintenance costs, and increase overall efficiency
- High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

- Proven experience as a maintenance supervisor or front-line leader in a manufacturing environment required.
- Strong understanding of industrial maintenance practices and procedures, including knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and/or hydraulic systems.
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Working knowledge of MS Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- You’ll be off every other Friday with our 9/80 work schedule
