The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada is seeking a skilled maintenance professional to perform journey-level duties across buildings, grounds, and related facilities. You will ensure reliable operation of essential systems and support services for RTC facilities.
You will apply HVAC, plumbing, and electrical knowledge to perform repairs, oversee contracted services, and maintain detailed records.
Although there is a salary range for this position, the candidate hired into this position will be hired at the bottom of the salary range.
This recruitment will be used to establish an open competitive and promotional eligibility list that may be used to fill this vacancy and vacancies occurring in this classification for a minimum period of six (6) months.

Performs a wide variety of skilled, journey-level duties in the maintenance of buildings, grounds, and related facilities equipment.
Non-Exempt
May work shifts on days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Equivalent to High School Diploma/GED and two (2) years of journey-level experience in one or more of the trades.
Must possess and maintain a valid Class C Driver's License at time of application.
Employment with the Regional Transportation Commission is contingent upon the results of a physical examination performed by our examining physician. A pre-employment drug test is part of the examination.
Employment is contingent upon the results of a comprehensive education/experience background investigation, a criminal history record, and driving history check.

Monitors, maintains and performance standard repairs to building electrical facilities and systems. Monitors performance of heating, ventilation, and cooling systems for facilities; performs standard repair/replacement of components as appropriate. Monitors and performs maintenance of plumbing systems for facilities. Assist with oversight of contracted services. Performs carpentry maintenance tasks for facilities. Performs preventative maintenance on a variety of building operational systems. Operate computer hardware and associated software applications. May perform general maintenance, custodial and trash removal tasks as required. Drives vehicle to work sites and transports materials and supplies as required. Maintains records of activities performed and materials utilized and replenishes supplies. All other duties assigned.
