Wasatch Labs in West Valley City, UT is relocating operations to Provo, UT. The Engineering & Projects Manager will lead the relocation, coordinate equipment moves, install new lines, and bring the Provo site to full operational readiness, while overseeing maintenance and capital projects afterward.

The role requires leading large capital projects, GMP experience, and bilingual communication. Occasional relocation-related travel and cross-site collaboration are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years in manufacturing engineering, maintenance, or facilities, incl. 3+ years leading teams.
• Proven experience leading large capital projects, such as a facility relocation or plant build-out.
• Strong project management skills: scheduling, budgeting, vendor management, stakeholder comms.
• Experience in GMP-regulated environments; CMMS and MRO inventory knowledge.
• Fluent in English and Spanish, both spoken and written.

Responsabilités

• Develop and manage the master relocation plan, including scope, timeline, milestones, dependencies, and risks.
• Manage relocation budget with GM; report progress, variances and risks.
• Oversee decommissioning, pack-out, transport, installation, and recommissioning of equipment.
• Specify and source new equipment; manage vendor selection and testing; startup.
• Design production line layouts for Provo with focus on efficiency, GMP, and future capacity.
• Coordinate with contractors, utilities, and suppliers on build-out and infrastructure.
• Lead equipment commissioning and qualification with Quality for GMP compliance.
• Coordinate with Operations, Quality, Warehouse, Safety to sequence pack-out and start-up.
• Serve as main contact for relocation status, decisions, and escalations.
• Provide mechanical and technical leadership for production equipment and facility systems.
• Lead capital projects and line improvements to increase capacity and reliability.
• Analyze downtime data to identify root causes and drive improvements.
• Partner on long-term capacity planning with GM; apply Lean, 5S, Six Sigma where relevant.
• Coach and develop supervisors; ensure maintenance procedures are current.
