Role Description

The Facilities Engineering Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in New York, NY. This role oversees the day-to-day operation and maintenance of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems. Responsibilities include planning and managing preventive and corrective maintenence, supervising and, coordinating vendor activities, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The Facilities Engineering Manager will monitor building performance, optimize energy use, manage budgets, prepare reports, and collaborate with property managers and stakeholders to address facility needs. The role also involves implementing best practices, responding to service requests, and maintaining clear documentation for all facilities activities.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Facilities Engineering, including building systems oversight and technical troubleshooting.
• Experience in Facilities Operations and Facility Management (FM), managing day-to-day performance of complex properties.
• Proficiency in Preventive Maintenance and Maintenance Management, including scheduling, work order management, and vendor coordination.
• Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and environmental and energy efficiency standards.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities.
• Effective communication caollaboration skills with property owners, managers, vendors, and internal teams.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation and use CMMS or similar maintenance software.
• Relevant professional certifications are a plus.
