Job summary

Youngstown State University is seeking a senior facilities manager to oversee supervisory and technical work across building maintenance and repair. You will lead planning, scheduling, and oversight of HVAC, electrical, boiler, and MEP contractors, develop policies, and drive strategic initiatives.

This role collaborates with department leaders, reviews projects, and ensures safety, compliance, and efficient operation of campus infrastructure.

Qualifications

• At least a bachelor’s degree with several years in MEP operations, repair, and construction.
• Preferred supervisory experience and EPA 608 Certification.
• Experience with high pressure steam boiler and distribution is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervision of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, boiler systems and MEP contractors.
• Plan, organize, and manage projects; review work orders and blueprints.
• Serve as departmental liaison for technical support and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with Engineering Construction standards and master planning.
• Maintain records and provide reports to support strategic planning.
