Job summary

MACOM, a global leader in semiconductor design and manufacturing, seeks a Facilities Engineering Program Manager in Massachusetts. This role leads infrastructure projects, capital programs, and building systems to ensure safe, compliant, and cost-effective operations.

You will collaborate with Operations, EH&S, Finance, and external contractors to deliver projects on schedule and within budget, applying PMP principles and leveraging CMMS/BAS systems. Some domestic travel is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Facilities, or related discipline).
  • Minimum 7–10 years of facilities engineering and/or capital project experience.
  • PE license or equivalent certification.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent formal training.
  • Experience with CMMS, BAS, and energy management systems.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or reliability engineering expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and execution of facilities engineering programs and strategic initiatives.
  • Manage capital construction, renovation, infrastructure upgrade, and equipment installation projects from concept through commissioning.
  • Develop project charters, schedules, budgets, risk assessments, and resource plans.
  • Establish project governance, performance metrics, and reporting mechanisms.
  • Track project milestones and ensure timely completion within scope and budget.
  • Manage contractors, consultants, architects, and external service providers.
  • Develop annual and multi-year capital plans.
  • Manage CAPEX and operating budgets.
  • Prepare project justifications, ROI analyses, and funding requests.
  • Track expenditures and forecast project spending.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and resource needs to leadership teams.
  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings and decision-making processes.
  • Build strong working relationships across Operations, Manufacturing, R&D, EHS, and Engineering.
