  • Diagnose issues across facility equipment and guide technicians through troubleshooting and corrective actions.
  • Oversee daily operation and reliability of air handling units (including full outside air mode, VFD/PID tuning, safety resets, filter management, and inspections).
  • Maintain and troubleshoot drive cabinets, including high‑voltage safety procedures, lock‑out/tag‑out, live‑dead‑live checks, IGBT modules, and internal wiring.
  • Manage inventory, readiness, and preventive maintenance of test cell facility spares.
  • Maintain facility interfaces between all conditioning cabinets and facility water systems.
  • Oversee operation of combustion air systems, including electrical cabinets, fuses, contactors, relays, wiring schematics, compressors, heater coils, valves, piping, chilled water, and water tower interfaces.
  • Ensure reliable operation of exhaust systems including VFD control, motor/fan maintenance, filter replacement, muffler inspections, and toxic gas monitoring equipment.
  • Work with and supervise tasks involving 480V and 600V 3‑phase power, busway systems, switchgear, lugs, disconnects, breaker boxes, fuse panels, and related wiring diagrams.
  • Ensure strict adherence to electrical safety protocols, including NFPA 70E procedures, high‑voltage safety, LO/TO, and proper PPE use.
  • Perform PLC resets, safety string checks, and coordinate troubleshooting with controls engineers.
  • Use facility management software (CMMS, BAS, monitoring platforms) for scheduling, work orders, alarms, and asset documentation.
  • Evaluate system data to identify reliability improvements and energy efficiency opportunities.
  • Plan and execute facility upgrade projects, retrofits, and equipment improvements.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for electrical vendors, rigging companies, mechanical contractors, and piping teams.
  • Develop project scopes, review technical drawings, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with codes and safety standards.

  • Knowledge of NFPA, OSHA, and industrial facility regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with test cell environments or high‑performance industrial equipment.
Technical Skills
  • Significant hands‑on experience with facility mechanical and electrical systems in an industrial or test cell environment.
  • Strong technical expertise in air handling units, drive cabinets, combustion air systems, exhaust systems, and high‑voltage electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, P&IDs, mechanical schematics, and electrical prints.
  • Familiarity with PLCs, safety strings, and facility management / CMMS software.
