Job summary

RigUp in Spring, TX is seeking a Facilities Engineer - Level 2 to evaluate and review discipline engineering work for compliance with specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements. You will facilitate effective execution of engineering routines and ensure clear communication among teams and contractors.

Responsibilities include acting as Area Engineer for a plant area, supporting changes and shutdowns, monitoring KPIs, and ensuring safe, compliant engineering activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with pressure equipment and plant modifications.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Provide shutdown engineering support
• Ensure safe and compliant execution of engineering activities
• Communicate engineering progress, issues, and recommendations effectively

Job Description:

The Facilities Engineer - Level 2 evaluates and comments on discipline engineering work performed both internally and by Contractors and sub-contractors to ensure that work is being executed in accordance with specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements. This position facilitates effective execution of discipline engineering and design routines that align with the team's goals, objectives, and procedures. The role assures accurate and timely communication among the team and other Functions on discipline engineering activities, progress, and issues. In addition to technical ability, this position requires sound communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as an Area Engineer for operations for a specific plant area
• Work in a team with other Facilities engineers, Site Contact & Lead Engineers to support assigned operations area and gain knowledge/exposure to other areas of plant
• Conduct Monthly Facilities Surveillance of area driven KPIs
• Provide operations support for changes, repairs & alterations of all plant pressure equipment (including piping, static equipment, rotating equipment, tanks, etc.)
• Provide shutdown engineering support
• Evaluate engineering work against specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements
• Perform surveillance activities and monitor KPIs
• Ensure safe and compliant execution of engineering activities
• Collaborate with Facilities Engineers, Site Contacts, Lead Engineers, Operations, and Contractors
• Communicate engineering progress, issues, and recommendations effectively

Skills and Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or related engineering specialty, or equivalent professional experience

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of discipline design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs
• Knowledge of pressure equipment, piping, static and rotating equipment, tanks, and plant modifications

Professional Skills:

• Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities
• Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skills
• Read, write, and speak fluent English, especially as it applies to technical and business communications
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Location: Spring, Texas

Schedule: M-F, 40 hrs, OT approved up 45 hours, anything over requires approval
