Job summary

RWDY Inc seeks a Facilities Engineer / Specialist II to lead area engineering duties for a designated plant, ensuring compliance with specifications and standards.

You will collaborate with site personnel, contractors, and operations to monitor KPIs, support equipment reliability, and manage plant modifications, outages, and repairs.

This role requires strong technical skills, effective communication, and the ability to adapt to deadlines and changing priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering specialty.
• Strong knowledge of engineering design standards, specifications, codes, and applicable safety criteria.
• Plant or facilities engineering experience supporting operating equipment and equipment reliability.
• Experience with pressure equipment, piping, static equipment, rotating equipment, tanks, repairs, alterations, or plant modifications.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, operations, site personnel, and contractors.
• Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English, particularly for technical and business communications.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Area Engineer for a specific plant operating area.
• Work with Facilities Engineers, Site Contacts, Lead Engineers, Operations personnel, and contractors to support the area.
• Develop knowledge of and exposure to other areas of the plant.
• Conduct monthly facilities surveillance and monitor area-driven KPIs.
• Provide engineering and reliability support for plant pressure equipment, including piping, static equipment, rotating equipment, and tanks.
• Support plant modifications and changes.
• Provide engineering support for equipment repairs and alterations.
• Provide engineering support during plant shutdowns.
• Evaluate engineering work for compliance with company specifications, engineering standards, applicable codes, safety criteria, and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate engineering progress, issues, recommendations, and required actions effectively.
• Adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequently changing priorities.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week. Overtime is approved up to 45 hours per week; anything beyond 45 hours requires additional approval.

Scope

Evaluate and provide feedback on discipline-engineering work performed internally and by contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with company specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements. Facilitate the effective execution of engineering and design activities that align with team objectives and procedures. Ensure accurate and timely communication among the project team and other company functions regarding engineering activities, progress, and issues.

The Facilities Engineer / Specialist II will serve as the Area Engineer supporting a designated plant operating area. This position requires strong technical ability along with effective communication, facilitation, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
