Job summary

CSL Behring is seeking a Facilities Engineer to provide technical ownership and engineering support for assigned facility equipment at the Kankakee site. You will ensure reliable, compliant operations and partner across EH&S, Quality, Process Engineering, Manufacturing, and Calibration teams.

You will drive maintenance strategies, analyze equipment data, participate in audits, and help plan asset life-cycle and capital needs while maintaining cGMP adherence and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Manufacturing, or a related Engineering discipline.
• Master’s degree in a related Engineering discipline is a plus.
• An equivalent degree may be considered based on relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s with 3+ years of engineering experience; or Master’s with 2+ years.
• Experience in pharmaceutical or other highly regulated industry preferred.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, FDA requirements and cGMP.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical lead for the specification, installation, qualification, operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of assigned facility equipment and systems.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of equipment functionality, design, and operating requirements.
• Provide technical direction for current and future design of assigned systems.
• Maintain system technology and identify opportunities to implement industry best practices.
• Own and maintain applicable standard operating procedures and work instructions.
