The PositionAs an experienced Facilities Engineer you will take a leading role as a mentor to plan, conduct, and direct engineering projects or studies including complete projects requiring advanced knowledge of a specialized field. You will apply comprehensive and diverse knowledge of engineering principles and practices within broad assignment areas. These responsibilities will be performed in multiple site locations of GMP manufacturing facilities and R&D facilities.
Responsibilities
Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Typically 5 years job related experience, with at least 3 years facilities management, project engineering or equipment controls.
Must be customer focused and possess: (1) the ability to identify issues, analyze and interpret data and develop solutions to a variety of complex problems; (2) excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report, and present findings; (3) excellent interpersonal skills to guide employees, negotiate and resolve conflicts; (4) the ability to represent the company as a knowledgeable resource on external projects; and (5) excellent computer skills.
Basic understanding of facilities engineering concepts and building systems.
Knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets for data manipulation and reporting.
Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to data management and facilities maintenance.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint) for documentation and presentations.
Experience with data configuration and reporting in a technical or operational environment.
Bonus Skills:
Previous experience working for an organization that performs building renovations.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and develop system P&IDs.
Expert level knowledge of building automation, software configuration and commercial building operations.
Familiar with Industry Construction Standards and best practices
Knowledge of security systems and controls
Budgeting and supervisory/management experience.
Knowledge of HVAC systems.
