Job summary

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
Previous relevant experience in maintenance/facilities or engineering in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

Analyzes engineering proposals, process requirements, and related technical data pertaining to industrial machinery and equipment design.
Determines feasibility of designing new plant equipment or modifying existing facilities considering costs, available space, time limitations, company planning, and other technical and economic factors.
Provides technical information concerning manufacturing or processing techniques, materials, properties, and process advantages, and limitations which affect long-range plant and product engineering planning.
Directs the operation of the physical facility functions including equipment installations and service functions for facility (includes safety and outside contractors).
Plans, formulates and administers various engineering programs.
Designs and facilitates capital projects within the facility.
May supervise departmental and/or maintenance employees. Develops, trains and motivates; makes job assignments, and follows contract and/or company policies.
Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
Tests newly installed machines and equipment to ensure fulfillment of contract specifications.
Oversees maintenance of facility and equipment.
Performs equipment and project design.
Plans and supervises project work.
Provides manufacturing support to business centers.
Performs cost estimating.
Troubleshoots equipment.
Initiates purchase for equipment and maintenance supplies.
Reports on maintenance and engineering activities to management.
