Facilities Engineer II-Facilities Full Time Evenings

This is a full-time position at 40 hours per week, scheduled Tuesday to Saturday from 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm.

Description

The Facilities Engineer II reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulatory standards.

As a licensed operating engineer, operates and maintains building mechanical systems and equipment, including high-pressure boilers, chillers, and medical air compressors, aiming for safe, efficient, and reliable operation while ensuring occupant comfort and safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate and assist in maintaining and repairing power plant equipment with minimal supervision, including emergency response.
• Operate high-pressure boilers, chillers, cooling towers, domestic hot water systems, generators, electrical switchgear, and energy management systems.
• Perform safety checks, repairs, preventive maintenance, cleaning, painting, and chemical analyses of equipment and systems.
• Respond to plant emergencies, service requests, and perform scheduled maintenance in compliance with policies and standards.
• Assist contractors and vendors as needed.

Additional Functions

• Coordinate and complete quality audits, reports, and scorecards; communicate results to relevant staff.
• Provide input on policies, track performance, and collaborate on project planning with Epic application teams.

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Five years of relevant building maintenance experience, including high-pressure steam boilers.
• Technical training in maintenance; licensed as a Stationary Engineer.
• Experience with boilers, generators, or mechanical maintenance; valid driver’s license.
• Physical ability to lift/carry up to 70 pounds and push/pull up to 50 pounds.

Preferred:

• Hospital or military experience; one year of boiler maintenance training.
