Job summary

Novo Nordisk in West Lebanon, NH is seeking an experienced manufacturing engineer to design and implement start-up processes for utilities, equipment and related systems across offices, labs and production areas. You will work cross-functionally with project managers, quality and facilities, provide on-call support, and help ensure GMP and non-GMP compliance in a fast-paced biotech environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in engineering or related discipline required.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline preferred.
• Minimum five (5) years relevant work experience with an associate’s degree.
• Minimum three (3) years relevant work experience with a bachelor’s degree.
• Biotechnology or pharmaceutical experience preferred.
• Knowledge of GMPs is learnable on the job.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to manufacturing operations areas including FUSE troubleshooting.
• Track and evaluate process trends with QA, Mfg. sciences and manufacturing.
• Coordinate fabrication, procurement, installation, engineering startup and validation of new equipment and systems.
• Participate in development and implementation of procedural or automation improvements.
• Participate in design and hazard reviews of plant expansions or process changes; act as technical contact for contractors.
• Serve as interface between engineering, facilities, process development, QA, validation and operations.
• Technical contact for solvent, waste and emission control and related cost optimizations.
• Oversee material and energy balances, create/update plans and P&IDs, write equipment specs and FAT/SAT protocols.
• Manage small projects, budgeting, scope, risk assessments and vendor contracts.
• Design and execute engineering runs to test equipment and troubleshoot problems.
• Provide on-call support in evenings/night/weekends as needed.
• Adhere to Novo Nordisk Way and 10 Essentials; comply with healthcare laws.
