Job summary

JLL is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to perform building repairs, electrical and plumbing tasks, and general maintenance at an onsite facility in Palm Beach, FL. The role includes door rekeying, furniture repairs, and assisting the operations team to keep the building safe and functional.

Candidates should have a technical training background with several years of maintenance experience, strong English communication, and the ability to lift heavy objects and work at heights.

Qualifications

• Completion of a technical training program with at least three years of building repair and general maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to rekey doors and cut new keys for buildings.
• Lift at least 50 lbs, use ladders up to 30 ft, and work at heights safely.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude with clear English communication.
• Follow Jones Lang LaSalle and client policies and procedures.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently or in a team.
• Pass background and drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Maintain lighting systems, bulbs and ballasts; rekey and install door hardware.
• Assist operations with building and equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Perform interior maintenance: hanging pictures, installing keyboard trays, repairing furniture.
• Handle minor plumbing, painting, locksmith tasks, and tenant services requests.
• Move office furniture and equipment as needed.
• Conduct facility inspections and report conditions affecting occupancy and operations.
• Respond to emergencies and follow safety procedures.
