Job description

About the role: The Facilities Engineer position performs a wide range of general and specialized critical infrastructure duties, including preventative maintenance, emergency repairs, and component replacements. It also provides technical and operational support for equipment such as HVAC units, UPS systems, ATS and parallel switch gear, generators, fire detection and extinguishing systems, alarm systems, pumps, valves, etc. Hardware planning and engineering duties are also part of the role.

About the team

This team performs periodic maintenance on over 400 machines and services necessary to keep this location operational.

Qualifications
  1. 1 or more years of facilities maintenance/engineering experience
  2. Technical degree, certified industry training, vocational training, or equivalent experience
  3. CFC certification is a plus
Technical Skills
  1. Working knowledge of facilities equipment (HVAC units, UPS systems, ATS and parallel switch gear, generators, etc.)
  2. Ability to perform testing, maintenance, and repairs on facilities equipment
  3. Strong judgment and decision-making skills
  4. Ability to manage multiple priorities
  5. Proficiency with a wide variety of power and manual tools
  6. Knowledge and practice of good safety practices
  7. Ability to work effectively with various mechanical and construction contractors
