As a Facilities Engineer, you will lead the maintenance team and oversee all aspects of repair and preventive maintenance to ensure the optimal performance and reliability of our manufacturing operations. You will play a key role in maximizing overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) by implementing best practices in maintenance, minimizing downtime, and optimizing equipment performance.

Responsibilities of the Facilities Engineer include:

1. Maintenance Planning and Execution:

• Develop and implement maintenance plans, schedules, and reports using a CMMS.
• Coordinate reactive and preventive maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize tasks and minimize downtime.
• Manage equipment and infrastructure maintenance work.
• Oversee contractors handling maintenance tasks.

Continuous Improvement:

• Identify process improvement opportunities in maintenance procedures.
• Work with engineering and production teams to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Lead initiatives to increase OEE and reduce unplanned downtime.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

• Use CMMS and analytics tools to assess equipment performance and identify improvements.
• Generate reports on reliability, KPIs, and improvement recommendations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment history.

Environmental, Health, Safety & Compliance:

• Coordinate with EH&S to ensure compliance with regulations such as OSHA and EPA.
• Drive safety initiatives and maintain high safety standards.
• Prepare data for reports and compliance documentation.

Training and Development:

• Provide training on equipment, procedures, and safety protocols.
• Develop programs to improve team skills and knowledge.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven maintenance and reliability engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of systems such as boilers, steam, condensate, air compressors, HVAC (Chiller and Airwasher experience a plus).
• Strong mechanical skills with analytical problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with preventive and reliability-centered maintenance strategies.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and related standards.
