Job summary

Providence St. Joseph's Hospital-Chewelah in Chewelah, WA, is seeking a Facilities Engineer for PSJHC Plant Operations. The role supports hospital utilities by maintaining pumps, compressors, boilers, generators, and other mechanical systems on variable shifts.

You will operate and repair stationary engines and equipment, ensuring reliable light, heat, and climate control for patient care and operations. Per diem/on-call scheduling applies.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in maintenance and repair of mechanical systems.
• HS Diploma or GED preferred; 5 years' experience in maintenance and repair of mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and repairs mechanical systems and equipment in the hospital buildings.
• Operates and maintains stationary engines, pumps, compressors, generators, and steam boilers to support utilities for hospital services.

Schedule: Variable Shift, Per Diem/On Call (works on either 7am-3:30pm or 11am-7:30pm depending on staffing needs)

The Maintenance Engineer Building Operations performs a variety of duties in an around the buildings of the hospital complex including the repair and maintenance of machinery and mechanical equipment. Operates and maintains stationary engines and mechanical equipment such as pumps, compressors, generators, and steam boilers to provide for utilities such as light, heat, and power for refrigeration, air conditioning, and other services for the hospital.
