Job summary

Lubbock Independent School District seeks a Compliance Coordinator to establish accountability for energy conservation and overall compliance at every level of the District’s facilities. You will develop and monitor conservation and compliance programs district-wide.

The role requires strong organization, communication, and analytical skills, with 3+ years in administrative or related experience preferred. Exempt, 12-month contract, office and field work expected.

Qualifications

• High level people skills in planning, organizing and coordinating activities of others.
• Preferred candidates should have three or more years of administrative or other suitable professional experience or training.

Responsibilities

• Administration and record keeping, accountability, reporting, program implementation, promoting District employee involvement, and maintaining compliance to governing state and local agencies and safety standards.
• The candidate must have an independent work ethic, good judgment capabilities, have the ability to maintain positive public relations, and must be persuasive. The candidate must be computer literate, interpret technical data, and communicate with both technical and non-technical individuals.
• Coordinate with state and local agencies to ensure compliance at all District facilities.
• Serve as a District representative at management-level meetings, seminars and conferences relating to compliance needs.
• Advise, assist and make recommendations to the Executive Director regarding compliance and Workman’s Compensation driven repairs.
• Provide input and schedule recommendations for capital projects related to energy conservation and overall compliance.
• Maintain all energy and water consumption records and data.
• Work with building and maintenance personnel on proper operation of the systems and participate in energy conservation trainings.
• Report status of energy conservation and overall compliance tosuperiors monthly; report safety hazards as observed.
• Conduct regular audits of facilities to assure operating efficiency and compliance; manage shutdown checklists for buildings.
• Ensure meters are read on schedule; implement night setback programs; ensure proper utility rate schedules and correct billing.
• Coordinate with maintenance Director on installation/repairs of energy management systems; update wiring diagrams.
• Assist with design/maintenance of programming for energy management systems; support capital projects as needed.
• Participate in Integrated Pest Management Plan for the District.
