Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker is seeking a Facility & Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve site systems and equipment. You will support preventive and corrective maintenance, document activities, and assist with installation and upgrades in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and continuous improvement, with opportunities to work with contractors and leverage CMMS for work orders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical training or certification preferred.
• 2+ years of maintenance experience in industrial, manufacturing, commercial, or facility environment.
• Vast knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building systems.
• Knowledge of PLC operations and troubleshooting.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment and facility-related issues.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices and work order systems.
• Ability to read basic technical manuals, drawings, and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on facility systems, equipment, and building infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
• Maintain and repair facility systems such as HVAC, plumbing, lighting, compressed air, and electrical systems.
• Respond to maintenance requests and equipment breakdowns in a timely manner.
• Inspect equipment and facilities to identify wear, damage, or potential failures.
• Complete work orders and document maintenance activities accurately in the maintenance management system.
• Assist with installation, setup, and relocation of equipment and facility assets.
• Support contractors and outside vendors performing maintenance or repair work onsite.
• Maintain tools, spare parts, and maintenance supplies in an organized manner.
• Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout, Arc Flash and use of personal protective equipment.
• Help ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
• Support general facility upkeep, housekeeping, and emergency repair needs as required.
