Job summary

The Franklin County Ohio Department of Human Resources seeks an Electrician to install, repair, and maintain electrical systems across county buildings and facilities, ensuring safe, compliant operation. You will diagnose problems, read blueprints, supervise safety, coordinate with outside contractors, and perform preventative maintenance on lighting, generators, UPS, and related equipment.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED with vocational electrical training and at least five

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED with vocational/technical training in electrical work.
Five years of experience as a licensed Electrician; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Must maintain a valid Ohio driver's license.

Responsibilities

Install, repair and maintain electrical systems in county buildings and facilities.
Diagnose problems and identify electrical systems and devices.
Identify safety hazards related to electrical problems and take corrective actions.
Perform preventative maintenance and install/repair lighting, transformers, fuses, UPS, emergency lights, generators and related equipment.
Read drawings and blueprints; coordinate with outside contractors for maintenance and shutdowns.
