Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a trade school program in electrical systems or possession of a Journeyman Electrician card preferred.
• Minimum of five years of experience in commercial electrical troubleshooting, maintenance and repair.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and safety practices.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Installs, maintains, and repairs electrical systems in municipal facilities, including lighting, power distribution, and control systems.
• Troubleshoots and repairs faulty receptacles, switches, and circuit breakers.
• Inspects and wires cubicles, office spaces, and equipment according to codes.
• Maintains emergency power systems, including generators and transfer switches.
• Responds to emergency power outages and system failures; performs preventive maintenance.
