Job summary

Seattle Center is seeking a qualified electrician to join our campus facilities team. This position supports regular facility maintenance as well as production needs for events, requiring journey-level knowledge of electrical concepts, codes, and equipment operations.

The open role is for 2nd shift, with schedule selection based on seniority. You will diagnose, repair, install and maintain electrical systems, read blueprints, and coordinate with the electrical crew chief to ensure safety and

  • Completion of a four-year apprenticeship and journey-level electrician status.
  • Proficient knowledge of electrical systems, lighting and control systems.
  • Ability to read blueprints and project plans.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair electrical equipment and control systems.
  • Install, repair and maintain electrical systems under supervision.
  • Coordinate with staff, venue operators and the public for safe operations.
  • Troubleshoot systems including electronics and lighting.
  • Review blueprints and project plans for installations.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and order parts as needed.
  • Install temporary power systems for events.
