Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Michigan seeks a qualified Licensed Electrician to maintain electrical systems across the hospital campus. Under supervision, you will perform emergency, routine, and preventive maintenance in electrical, HVAC/R, plumbing and related areas.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, training in electricity, four years of experience, a journeyman electrician license, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Training beyond high school in electricity or related programs is required.
• Four years of related experience is required.
• Journeyman’s electrician license is required.
• Valid state driver’s license is required.
• Driving record must be in good standing per insurer.
• Previous health care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes all assigned work orders with proper documentation within 24 hours of completion.
• Demonstrates sound judgment to meet department and hospital needs.
• Reads and interprets blueprints and schematics.
• Identifies potential problems before equipment fails and notifies inventory when stock is low.
• Works as part of a team to meet department objectives and trains others when needed.
• Performs repair work or preventive maintenance safely and efficiently.
• Responds to emergency situations as needed.
