Job summary

JeffTemps, Jefferson's internal temporary service, is seeking an experienced Electrician to support our Facilities Services team in Center City Philadelphia. Location: 1025 Walnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107. Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:00pm.

Responsibilities include installation, inspection and repair of electrical equipment and systems in buildings, coordination with other trades, maintenance of substations, distribution systems and generators, and working from blueprints and diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson Installs, maintains, and repairs electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
• Inspects transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components.
• Troubleshoots electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
• Installs and maintains wiring in accordance with rules and regulations, and ensures that buildings have enough power to operate safely.
• Performs electrical construction such as installing circuit breaker panel boards, circuit breakers, conduit, cable, motor starters, switches, lights, etc.
• Performs electrical preventive maintenance work and planning (fire alarm system, emergency and standby generators, electrical safety checking, written plans, lockout and system switching, etc.) to ensure safety and remain in compliance with regulations.
• Works from blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, etc. to make sure jobs are accurately completed.
