Job summary

Temple University Health System in Philadelphia, PA seeks an Electrician II for a full-time, on-site role in the Facilities Management team. Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, you will maintain and repair electrical systems from 6V to 13,200V, troubleshoot problems, and respond to routine and emergency calls to keep buildings safe and operational.

This position requires knowledge of motor control centers, VFDs, building automation, low voltage wiring, and NFPA codes.

Qualifications

• Must have troubleshooting experience with Motor Control Centers, VFDs, Building Automation Systems, basic building wiring systems, and other electrically controlled mechanical equipment.
• Knowledge of low voltage and control circuiting devices.
• Solid knowledge of safe working practices (NFPA-70E) and the (NFPA-70) National Electrical Code.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair all University electrical systems and controls from 6V up to 13,200V.
• Troubleshoot problems to make repairs.
• Respond to routine and emergency calls for corrective maintenance.
• Work with switching and troubleshooting of medium-voltage systems and switchgear.
• Work on all building systems for wiring and terminations.
• Perform complete operational checks to ensure safe, efficient operation; may work off-hours for system maintenance.
