Job summary

Environmental Air Systems, Inc. seeks a skilled Facilities Electrician to join our Facilities Department in High Point, NC. The role installs, maintains, and repairs electrical systems across multiple facilities and production support equipment.

You will read and interpret electrical drawings, perform testing with meters and instruments, and complete preventative maintenance to ensure safe operation and minimal downtime.

Qualifications

  • Experience in commercial/industrial electrical work or equivalent.
  • Ability to read shop drawings, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Strong communication and safety awareness per NEC standards.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair lighting, circuits, panels, transformers, motors, and controls.
  • Bend/install conduit (Rigid/IMC/EMT) and pull/terminate conductors.
  • Read drawings and manuals; document testing and wiring; support production equipment and projects.

## Facilities ElectricianApplylocations: High Point, NC (EAS-MFG): Asheboro, NC (EAS MFG)time type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: JR107398Environmental Air Systems, a full-service mechanical contractor, is seeking a skilled Facilities Electrician to join our Facilities Department.The Facilities Electrician installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical systems serving EAS buildings, grounds, and production support equipment. This position works across multiple facilities and is expected to complete electrical work safely, accurately, and in accordance with applicable codes, company standards, and individual qualifications.**Total Rewards:*** Life Insurance* Tuition Reimbursement* Paid Holidays* PTO* Weekly Pay* Medical, Dental, Vision, Hospital, Accident, Specified Disease, and Pet Insurance* 401(k) with Company Match* Onsite Health Clinic* Apprenticeship Program**Schedule:** Monday through Thursday 6:00 am to 4:30 pm with overtime, travel between EAS locations, and on-call work as necessary.**Responsibilities:*** Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility lighting, receptacles, branch circuits, panels, disconnects, transformers, motors, controls, and related electrical systems.* Bend and install Rigid, IMC, and EMT conduit with minimal supervision.* Pull, label, terminate, test, and document conductors and electrical devices.* Support electrical connections for production equipment, offices, facility improvements, and capital projects.* Read and comprehend electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, schematics, equipment manuals, and construction documents.* Use electrical test equipment to diagnose failures and verify proper system operation.* Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and inspections on electrical systems and equipment.* Apply lockout/tagout, electrical safe work practices, and required personal protective equipment.* Identify unsafe conditions, code concerns, capacity limitations, and required repairs and communicate them to department leadership.* Coordinate assigned electrical contractors, inspections, shutdowns, and restoration of service.* Maintain accurate work orders, panel schedules, labels, drawings, testing records, and material usage.* Respond to emergency electrical calls and support safe restoration of facility operations.* Assist and train maintenance personnel when electrical knowledge is required for assigned work.* Other duties may be added as needed by supervision.**Education Requirements/Qualifications:*** Reading and speaking proficiency in either English or Spanish required.* High School Diploma or GED required, or related experience in commercial or industrial electrical services as determined by department management.* Five or more years of commercial or industrial electrical experience preferred.* Journeyman-level training, electrical apprenticeship completion, or applicable electrical license preferred.**Job Requirements/Special Skills:*** Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code and applicable electrical safety requirements.* Experience bending and installing conduit and pulling and terminating conductors.* Ability to troubleshoot commercial and industrial electrical systems using meters and test instruments.* Ability to read shop drawings, electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, and equipment documentation.* Good verbal communication, documentation, planning, and customer service skills.* Positive attitude and willingness to support continuous improvement and changing facility needs.* Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements.* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand and work for prolonged periods of time.* Ability to work in conditions of varying heat and cold where noise levels may be at or above 90 decibels.* Ability to perform electrical work at heights utilizing ladders and lifts and wear required electrical PPE.
