Howmet Aerospace's Hampton Structural Castings in Hampton, VA is seeking a Facilities Electrical Specialist to support production, maintenance and engineering, delivering reliable electrical and automation solutions.

You will manage electrical and controls projects, program PLC/HMI/SCADA systems, coordinate project phases from concept to start-up, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and collaborate with plant teams to drive manufacturing excellence.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED and 7-10 years' experience in maintenance and controls.
Minimum of 3-5 years' experience with electrical systems such as power distribution, PLCs, HMIs, and database systems.
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available for this position.
Understanding of export controls and eligibility to access restricted items.

Responsibilities

Manage the electrical and controls scope of process improvement, capital expansion, and obsolescence mitigation projects.
Coordinate all phases of assigned projects from concept to final start-up and project closure.
Assist production and maintenance with equipment and process issues focusing on reliability and productivity."
Provide higher-level support for PLC, HMI, and Robotic systems and programming for PLC/SCADA/Database Systems.
Maintain records for all automation programs and changes.
Propose and execute improvements to existing automation systems and processes.
Oversee safety policies and ensure contractor compliance with applicable rules.
