This engineering position provides an outstanding opportunity to maintain facilities and uphold environmental, health, and safety regulations. You will manage and enhance environmental safety protocols, implement top-notch safety standards, and ensure our physical infrastructure meets organizational needs. Key responsibilities:
  • Responsible for daily operations and maintenance of the company's facilities, including building systems, mechanical, and electrical systems.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and vendors for building repairs and equipment maintenance outside of scope.
  • Deploy a robust CMMS system to supervise and optimize planned vs unplanned maintenance PM compliance and asset management.
  • Supervise and report reliability metrics to continuously improve equipment reliability.
  • Complete Total Predictive Maintenance (TPM) to ensure minimal downtime and efficient production processes.
  • Supervise and report MRO and inventory costs to the Site Manager.
  • Collect environmental/sustainability samples for compliance and reporting purposes.
  • Assist with safety training & compliance, ensuring that safety orientations and refresher training are conducted, along with alignment to the MOC (Management of Change) process.
  • Implement any safety improvements.
  • Provide support on both shifts with fixing equipment or process-related issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Key requirements:
  • HS Diploma or equivalent experience required; advanced degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Class 1B Boiler License and Registered Unlicensed Maintenance Electrical License required.
  • 5-10 years of experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in lumber mill and/or chemical process environments.
  • Strong mechanical, fabrication skills, and process knowledge, including operation of Bridgeport milling machine, arc, Mig, and Tig welding, Oxy/Acetylene, and Plasma cutting.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and EHS software/tools.
  • Travel <10% required.
