Summary Statement

A Facilities Dispatcher is responsible for receiving and relaying information, instructions, and work orders to Facilities team personnel under standard and emergency conditions. The Dispatcher will receive, record, and report on information regarding work performed, work in progress and requests for assistance. The position responds to all inbound communication in the Fire Command Center, serving as a primary point of contact for all facilities and safety issues. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to maintaining processes, scheduling work, supporting department team members, maintaining Resort World Las Vegas standards, and ensuring excellent guest and team member experience.

Primary Job Duties

Includes but is not limited to:

  • Responsible for monitoring all emergency alarm systems, including activating emergency alarm notifications, dispatching personnel to alarm activations, and understanding device and alarm types.
  • Monitoring and understanding of the fire life safety system and all components including but not limited to:
  • Fireworks panel
  • Smoke Management Annunciator Panels
  • Identifying ALARMS, TROUBLES, SUPERVISORIES, etc.
  • Responsible for receiving and dispatching calls by telephone, two-way radio, and other computer aided devices
  • Responsible for logging all information regarding the disposition of the call into HotSOS, logbooks, etc.
  • Notifies the fire department, internal departments, governing agencies, and/or utilities of emergencies involving their areas of responsibility.
  • Maintains memoranda, records, and files, including division activity records, labor logs, work orders, inventories, monthly activity reports and necessary FCC records.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications

  • Proficiency with computers: email, spreadsheets, word documents, etc.
  • Fluent in English; both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must possess the ability to read, analyze and interpret documents, such as:
  • Policy and procedure manuals
  • Blueprints, drawings, diagrams, etc.
  • Maps
Preferred
  • Proficiency with HotSOS.
  • Knowledge of Fire Life Safety system operation, alarm monitoring and/or emergency dispatch.
  • Experience with a Fire Command Center Board Panel.
  • Background in contact centers, help or support desk or customer interaction centers.
  • Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting.
Minimum Education and Experience
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 6 months of experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Emergency Alarm System monitoring
  • Fire Command Operations
  • Engineering
  • Facilities or Maintenance Dispatch
  • Emergency Response Coordination
  • Administrative/Customer Service roles in related field.
Certificates, Licenses, Regulations
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
