Job summary

The Boys & Girls Club of Clifton is seeking an experienced, hands-on Maintenance & Facilities Director to lead all aspects of facility maintenance, operations, safety, and capital improvements at our main Clubhouse in Clifton, New Jersey.

This leadership role requires a strong background in building systems, preventive maintenance programs, vendor management, budgeting, and safety compliance, with the ability to supervise staff and collaborate across departments to keep facilities safe,

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible facilities management experience.
• Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory or management experience.
• Experience in nonprofit organizations, schools, community centers, or institutional facilities.
• Strong knowledge of building systems and preventive maintenance programs.
• Experience managing vendors, contractors, and service agreements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily facility operations, maintenance, and appearance.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.
• Manage maintenance requests and work orders; ensure timely completion.
• Lead capital improvement projects and coordinate with external partners.
• Ensure OSHA and applicable safety regulations are followed and records maintained.
• Manage department budget and inventory of maintenance supplies and parts.
