This role partners with the VP of Facilities to drive budgets, capital projects, and continuous improvement while ensuring safe, accessible, and cost-effective operations that reflect Peckham's values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in facilities management.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing teams.
• Experience managing operational budgets, capital projects, vendors and initiatives.
• Experience developing facilities, safety, compliance strategies across multiple locations.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance, accreditation, audit methodologies, risk management.
• Knowledge of accessibility, inclusion, sustainability and workplace experience principles.
• Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and mitigate risk.
• Strong collaboration, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent time management with a sense of urgency.
• Ability to analyze data and KPIs to drive improvement.
• Strong business and financial acumen with budgeting experience.
• Advanced problem-solving and critical thinking abilities for operational challenges.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily operations of the Facilities Department including maintenance, grounds, capital projects, repairs, procurement support, food services, safety, compliance and security.
• Provide coaching, mentorship, performance management and professional development to staff.
• Set priorities and execute facilities strategies supporting growth, safety, experience, accessibility and sustainability.
• Oversee maintenance programs, major repairs and capital improvement projects for safe, functional facilities.
• Plan, budget and manage facility projects, vendor contracts, renovations and equipment installations.
• Collaborate with VP of Facilities on budgets, CAPEX plans, business plans and long-range strategies.
• Oversee procurement, inventory, contracts, RFPs/RFQs and vendor relationships.
• Direct safety, compliance, fire safety, emergency preparedness and risk mitigation with leaders.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state/local licensing, accreditation, insurance and safety rules.
• Lead workplace experience initiatives including space planning and furnishings.
• Oversee food service operations for quality, safety and inventory.
• Develop performance metrics, reporting and continuous improvement for service quality.
• Build partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve objectives.
• Lead regular team meetings to align goals and review performance.
• Perform quality checks and address issues to maintain standards.
• Stay updated on Peckham policies, security trends and attend trainings as needed.
• Ensure adherence to safety policies and secure key assignments.
• Collaborate with Food Service Team to provide support as needed.
• Coordinate with departments for ongoing space improvement needs.
