Job Summary

This Bench position will provide management support to new and existing SSC accounts in K-12 or higher education settings. Travel is required and can include overnights within the region.

As the Facilities Director, you will hold the utmost responsibility for the seamless operation of all service lines within our facility, acting as the primary point of contact for our education client. Responsible for leading all aspects of facilities including Plant Operations Maintenance, Custodial Services, and Grounds Maintenance Departments, ensuring that campus facilities operate efficiently, safely, and in alignment with our client's expectations while fostering an environment conducive to learning and growth.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and recommend department operating budgets, ensuring adherence to financial constraints while optimizing operational efficiency.
2. Coordinate operations and maintenance activities with other departments to streamline workflows and enhance productivity.
3. Actively engage with clients to maintain open lines of communication and ensure satisfaction.
4. Lead and coordinate all functions and activities of the department, fostering accountability and excellence.
5. Establish and implement policies and procedures for departmental operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies.
6. Encourage and mentor staff creativity and innovation, empowering contribution by team members toward continuous improvement initiatives.
7. Demonstrate quality leadership in meeting performance plans, getting results, and exceeding expectations.
8. Provide training and development opportunities for all staff members, cultivating their professional growth and skills enhancement.
9. Conduct regular inspections of facilities to uphold quality control procedures and identify areas for improvement.
10. Assist in the development and revision of annual budgets, aligning financial strategies with organization goals.
11. Maintain direct communication with varying levels of administration, including clients and vendors, to address business needs promptly and effectively.
12. Ensure the facility's strategic objectives are clearly defined and achieved, driving operational excellence and client satisfaction.
13. Secure and maintain company capital assets in first-class working conditions, optimizing their lifespan and functionality.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Prior experience in Facilities Management supporting an education account preferred.
2. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
3. Experience with central plant operations and maintenance.
4. Experience with P&L accounts.
5. Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
6. Outstanding customer service.
7. Ability to meet established goals and objectives.
8. Valid driver's license and clean driving record, ensuring safe operation of company vehicles in accordance with traffic laws and conditions.
