BASIC FUNCTION:
The Facilities Development Project Coordinator will Lead, coordinate, monitor, and schedule the work of staff and consultants for school building programs and modernization projects and in the preparation of plans, specifications, and calculations for all design work to ensure compliance with district policies and school bond contracts and requirements for the public construction bidding and subsequent project construction administration process.

VACANCY / POSITION SPECIFICS:
This is a PROMOTIONAL/OPEN opportunity, which means that current monthly salaried employees receive precedence over other candidates on the eligible list. For a promotional/open posting, the top ten internal candidates will be provided unless there is an insufficient number of internal candidates and then the list will be supplemented with the top external candidates to make up the list of ten (Employment Regulations for the Classified Service of the San Diego Unified School District: Article IV, Section 9).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
A combination of training, experience, and/or education equivalent to graduation from a recognized college or university with a major in architecture, building engineering, or related field and eight years of progressively responsible experience in architecture or engineering with an emphasis on building construction.
NOTE: Your related education and experience must be clearly represented in the work history and education section of your application.
