Job summary

Snowshoe Mountain is seeking a Facilities Custodian for the winter season at our Snowshoe, WV campus. The role focuses on keeping offices, restrooms, and common areas clean and well-stocked, supporting the lodging team, and ensuring safety and hygiene across our properties.

The position is seasonal with early morning, weekend, and holiday shifts. Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED and prior custodial experience, with reliable, detail-oriented work ethic and the ability to lift

Qualifications

• Able to lift/move heavy objects and work early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work independently and maintain a clean, safe environment.

Responsibilities

This role is crucial in maintaining a welcoming and efficient workspace for our staff and visitors, while also providing support to the lodging department by assisting in all aspects of facility custodian duties. You will be responsible for maintaining common area restrooms through prompt and scheduled cleanings, stocking supplies, and conducting regular inspections of our properties.

Job Responsibilities

• Cleaning and Sanitizing: Perform routine cleaning tasks such as dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces in offices, restrooms, and common areas.
• Trash Removal: Responsible for collecting and disposing of trash and recycling materials.
• Maintenance Support: Assist with minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, fixing leaks, and reporting larger maintenance issues.
• Inventory Management: Maintain adequate supplies of cleaning products and toiletries.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company standards.

Education

• High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Experience

• Experience in custodial or janitorial services.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and dedication to cleanliness.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects.
