Job summary

The Kravis Center for the Performing Arts in West Palm Beach is seeking a full-time Custodian to maintain cleanliness and perform custodial duties as directed. You will clean bathrooms, vacuum and dust offices, polish fixtures, mop floors and restore spaces after events.

Evening and weekend work is required; follow safety protocols. The center offers a full benefits package and a Drug-Free Workplace policy.

Qualifications

• Must be a self-starter who takes the initiative to correct problems as they arise and possesses strong interpersonal skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent vocational school diploma.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the overall cleanliness of the Center – including but not limited to the following: Emptying trash bins; Cleaning all bathrooms; Vacuuming and dusting all offices/dressing rooms, etc.; Cleaning windows and polishing brass fixtures/handrails; Mopping floors; Restoring all performance/meeting spaces to pre-event cleanliness.
• Responds to all custodial services requests/inquiries as directed; Reports any supply or equipment needs to the Custodial Services Supervisor; Communicates status of projects to the Supervisor; Performs other duties as required.
