Job summary

JSM Living is seeking a reliable and hardworking janitor to join our team across residential and commercial properties. You will help keep lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and exteriors clean and safe for residents and tenants.

This role requires strong attendance, the ability to work a full-time schedule (40 hours/week), weekend availability, and a valid driver’s license. Prior janitorial experience is preferred, with a professional attitude and reliable teamwork.

Qualifications

• Weekend availability and flexibility for occasional overtime or on-call needs.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Previous janitorial or custodial experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the exterior cleanliness of buildings, including entrances, sidewalks, and parking areas.
• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of common areas, including lobbies, hallways, stairwells, restrooms, laundry rooms, fitness areas, and elevators.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including replenishing supplies, disinfecting surfaces, and ensuring overall cleanliness.
• Empty trash and recycling receptacles in both interior and exterior areas and dispose of waste properly.
• Assist with routine power washing at designated properties.
• Support company-wide snow removal efforts as needed.
• Keep accurate electronic records of time, labor, and materials for assigned projects.
• Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of company vehicles used for daily tasks.
• Work with other departments to support property turnover efforts between tenants (e.g., unit clean-outs, touch-up cleaning)
