JOB OVERVIEW:
The Facilities Maintenance Technician II is responsible for the general maintenance and up-keep of the Westlake, Ohio location and its surrounding grounds. Supports the Maintenance Supervisor by cleaning, repairing, installing, and maintaining the building (i.e. furniture, electrical, plumbing, heating, and air conditioning systems) as required. Will be required to work outside in different conditions and climates for: snow removal, patio clean-up, trash removal, general property clean-up. Will need to not be bothered by heights and is willing to work on a ladder.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
- Performs janitorial duties and other related tasks.
- Cleans café areas and restocks supplies.
- Cleans and disinfects high touch surfaces.
- Repairs furniture, fixtures, and the building within reason.
- Empties cafeteria garbage/recycling/shredding receptacles.
- Cleans windows, conference rooms, lobbies, entryways, and carpeting.
- Prepares conference rooms for meetings and rearranges furniture as needed.
- Changes interior and exterior lighting fixtures as needed.
- Maintains fire alarm panels and systems.
- Checks HVAC system, preforms adjustment to the system as needed and maintains heat pumps.
- Makes adjustments to the lighting control systems.
- Occasionally must be available for on-call duties.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in general maintenance or other maintenance responsibilities.
- Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, customer service-oriented.
- Must be organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to multi-task.

This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to speak and hear. The associate is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time, as well as stand, walk, use hands and fingers, and reach with hands and arms. This job requires the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
