Job summary

Responsibilities

Cleans public areas in city facilities including restrooms, kitchens, conference rooms, lobbies, offices and halls; performs disinfection and minor painting/repairs.
Performs custodial duties and infection control at City Hall, Public Works, Fire Rescue, City parks and other facilities as requested.
Vacuum, sweep, mop, strip, wax floors and shampoo carpeted areas; dust and polish furniture and fixtures.
Clean, deodorize and disinfect bathrooms; replenish soap and paper products.
Touch up interior/exterior walls and related structures; wash windows and blinds.
Maintain exterior areas around facilities; assist in setting up/teardown for meetings/events.
Perform basic maintenance to keep machinery and tools operable; prepare time sheets and reports.
Report supplies and safety hazards; assist in inventory and quotes for equipment.
