Job summary

Benton County Government is seeking a Building Janitor/Maintenance to support the Building Janitorial Supervisor by maintaining county facilities and mechanical systems. Work is performed under general supervision and includes opening/closing buildings and daily cleaning duties.

The role also covers basic maintenance tasks and occasional lawn care or seasonal duties to keep county buildings in good condition. A high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of janitorial and light maintenance experience preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist in opening and closing county buildings.
• Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance (lighting, HVAC filters, painting, minor plumbing).
• Clean daily: floors, bathrooms, break rooms, trash, and grounds upkeep.
• Notify supervisor when supplies or repairs are needed; report potential problems.
• Carry out seasonal duties such as lawn care as assigned.
