Job summary

Benton County, WA is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to provide building and grounds upkeep, ensuring a clean and safe environment for staff and the public. This non-exempt role reports to the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor and requires hands-on repair work.

Responsibilities include general repairs, door and lock work, lighting upgrades, painting, carpentry, flooring, and maintaining records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of facilities maintenance experience or a combination of education/experience.
• Valid Washington driver’s license if driving a County vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Performs general repairs for assigned facilities.
• Repairs doors, door closers and locks; installs locks.
• Maintains and repairs lighting, carpentry, flooring, drywall, roofing, and plumbing.
• Cuts facility keys for County staff.
• Converts fluorescent lighting to LED lighting.
• Maintains records of repairs and work orders.
